Our parish celebrates Reconciliation each Saturday from 3:00pm-3:50pm, Sundays 5:00-5:25pm, and weekdays 15 minutes before Mass (6:15-6:30am and 5:15-5:30pm) or by Appointment. To schedule an appointment, see one of the priests after Mass or call the church office at 318-445-3693 and leave a message for the priest.

Our parish hosts two penance services each year, one during Advent and the other during Lent. These events are typically celebrated with Eucharistic Adoration and soft praise and worship music in the background, and the nursery is open for infants and children.

Reconciliation is also offered in the fall and the spring to our children enrolled in the religious education program (CCD), junior high youth program (7th-8th grade) and senior high youth program (9th-12th grade) and at our confirmation retreat (11th grade).

First Reconciliation

All Catholic children enrolled in Our Lady of Prompt Succor School in the second grade will be given sacramental preparation for first reconciliation within the school curriculum.

All Catholic children enrolled in religious education (CCD) in the second grade will be given sacramental preparation for reconciliation within the CCD program held on Wednesday nights from 6:25-7:30pm, from the Wednesday after Labor Day until May.

Parents must provide copy of the child's Baptismal Certificate upon enrollment in these programs and parents are required to attend a mandatory parent meeting to understand the expectations of the programs and sacraments.
