St. Timothy Food Pantry and Blessing Box

Location
Blessing Box
We are pleased to be introducing a new ministry, called the “Blessing Box,” for those who need a small blessing of food or personal items. This ministry will be run by Dana Boudreaux who has a desire to help others in our community, right in the heart of the area of need. The Blessing Box is located in front of the St. Timothy Center on 21st Street. An average of 2 dozen items donated from church parishioners are placed in the box each day. Typical items include, socks, water, cereal, protein bars, personal hygiene items, canned foods with pull tops, etc. If you have a desire to help those in need with personal items, and can bless others with less than $5 of donations a month contact Dana at dboux1020@gmail.com or 318-792-7064.
St. Timothy Food Pantry
In response to the growing needs of those in the community who come to the church asking for food, our Community Outreach Commission has initiated the St. Timothy Food Pantry. It is designed to provide supplemental food for those who are able to cook, and also for those who are on foot and need a ready to eat meal. A small bag of 8-9 items of non- perishable food that will provide 2-3 meals for a small family. Recipients can pick up food from the St. Timothy Center, side entrance from 10-12pm on the last Saturday of the month. Sponsors are greatly needed to provide $10 of food per month and volunteers are needed to help organize efforts and distribute. Please contact Chris Bayone at 955-1222 to volunteer, sponsor and for more information.
