The Meal Teams at OLPS are a long-standing tradition of loving parishioners willing to work with a team of 7 other people to provide a meal for a family who has recently lost a loved one.  Serving on a meal team brings together three of the corporal works of mercy into one loving act of service: to feed the hungry, to give drink to the thirsty, and to in a sense help bury the dead. The eight members of the team cook at their own home, and provide the grieving family with a meal comprised of an entrée, two vegetable sides, salad, bread, drink and dessert.  Each team of eight serves two months out of the year with an average time commitment of less than 5 hours annually.
