The JOY ministry, was formerly the Senior Citizens Ministry and the acronym stands for “Just Older Youth.”  The ministry meets every third Wednesday of the month from September to May at 2:00pm-3:00pm in the Madonna Room of the Madonna Complex. A program comprised of various themes, talks, videos, and small group discussions appropriate for the spirituality of the group is presented and a short social concludes each gathering.  Twice a year, in November and April, the Anointing of the Sick is administered during the JOY Mass. A Christmas “Covered Dish” luncheon and social is held in December. A “Morning of Recollection” is offered during Lent, combined with Mass and lunch hosted by the Catholic Daughters of America.

The JOY birthday card ministry is hosted off campus at the home of Cindy Scott. Each month members gather over coffee to write birthday cards to all parishioners over the age of 62, on the last Monday of the month at 11:00am. All are welcome.
